Mark & Jennelle's Shower

Now that Mark and Jennelle were married, and finally had time for a shower, Bethel put on their "bridal" shower. Since both of them are mission/world minded, and Mark is going to be leaving soon for SMAT - School of Missionary Aviation Technology - we made it an airplane theme - my group planned it out It was fun putting it together.
Yes that's a graham cracker airplane - forgot the "toy" one at home...
Shantel drew the plane and James, me and a couple kids painted it. :)

Love the sign that Greg did.

We got a bunch of styrofoam planes hung from fishing line that "flew" over the gym.

The main activity was making paper airplanes, and there was a contest for the best decorated and the best flier.
James trying it out.

The contest....

Some of the finalists - I think Micah J. and Jannelle were among the winners.
The happy couple! Going to miss them while they're gone to Michigan - but excited too.

Lots of Pink and Some Blue

Sometimes seeing the camera means doing a silly face for mom.
And then giving me their real looks. :) These two are such great friends. They can play for hours together - their thing right now is Lego. And yes, they quarrel often too - but for the most part are great partners in play.
Getting bigger.
Katie showing Amy some "piano moves".

Love this of Laura's pigtail - getting stuck outside her helmet. Such a cute girly, goofy thing.

Adelle and Rachel's Concert

Adelle and Rachel put together an evening concert to raise funds for the Pregnancy Support and Resource Center in Hamilton. They did so well - performing such beautiful music - some classical, some original and some arranged hymns. In the intermission, they also sold snacks, and baked goods - all proceeds going to the Center as well.

Steph and Rach

Rachel's sister Faith also did some violin alongside Rachel.

And Adelle's mom - Nancy - also sang a few songs with them.
After the concert - Erik with one of his favorite ladies.

Family Walk

This was taken around the very end of April I think... good grief - ages ago.
And these are my two climbers.
There was no evening church service that Sunday, so we went for a family walk - and the kids had fun finding anywhere to climb. Sometimes it's slightly scary - but I'd rather they fall (as long as it's not to dangerous) trying then never climb. :)
Laura - our joyful photo-bomber.

He's a regular bear
This guy's expression cracks me up. :) Sitting on a chair that someone chain sawed out of a stump.
Yes that's Katy in the bottom of the stroller - Leanne in the car seat, and Amy at the back. :)
The kids start to "wither" at the end of a walk.
Good times.

My little People

Such a perfect "little girl" moment - playing with the "as you grow" puppy dog.
(yes, it's a puppy not a bear ;).
But look at her upper half- what a face - dirty and wet.

Erik did some posing for Katie - as she was trying out using out my camera -with supervision.
Such a great kid. His way with words, and expression cracks me up.
And Shantel stopped in while we were doing pictures...

On a different day - when Lydia was around to help me watch the extra kiddo's, while Ben and Deanna moved to Brantford - hooray! We're in the same city now.
Lydia came to save the day. :)
