March 21 - World Down Syndrome Day

World Down Syndrome Day - March 21st - thankful for our little guy and the ways God has opened our world to others.
I bribed him with something to eat to get him there - and then we had a few minutes of fun.

And then - we finally got everyone at once - Leanne wasn't having it... but mostly all here.

I wanted to get a shot of just him, but he was letting me know all he wanted, was to go outside. :)

Jason Turns 2

 The little dude turned TWO!
We kept his birthday very simple, partly cause he's two, and I was pregnant. :)
 Jason's Latest:
-Starting to walk up the stairs holding on to railings
-Drinking from a cup -almost there
-Overcoming some eating challenges, like cucumbers, peaches, lettuce and some pasta. (does not like spaghetti!)
-Started walking at 18 months, and is now pretty much running
-Pushes himself down the slide
-Still says three words - "mom" (which can mean a lot of things...haha!) ball and boo for book
-Signs - "more" "thank-you" "please" "water" "eat" "bubbles" (not all voluntarily - working on that but repeats well)
-Working on signing - "again" "bath" "crackers"
-Does actions to "My God is so Big"
-Folds his hands when we pray
That grin :)
Oma and Opa got him this basketball net, which was the best gift ever! He loved it and started playing with it right away.

We had breakfast for supper. :)
The party
Katie helping him with his cake. She did the decorating this time - which I was quite thankful for!

Yup - he liked it. :)
So thankful for this guy and the two years we have been given with him.

12 Months = One Year

Jason's Latest and Greatest:
-Pulling himself up onto furniture- the crib - so proud of him.
-Popped his first tooth
-Is doing better on his four point kneel
-Loves food
-Starting to drink milk

Jason is ONE!

My birthday boy.
Little guy, I'm so proud of you.
You've gone through a lot, and have been so brave.
God has blessed us with you, and I'm so thankful that I get to be your momma.
Getting to be fed his baked oatmeal.
He's not really feeding himself but is learning to try.
Opening his present from Grandma Fehr.
All the kids so excited. Katie reading his new book to him... and everyone else.

His birthday was on a Sunday - so it wasn't too birthdayish - which is fine at one anyways. :)
We had some other friends come visit in the afternoon, then Mom and Dad Heikoop came for the evening.

My bookworm. :)
His birthday blessings. :)

Jason is 11 months

We styled his hair for fun and took his pictures of 11 months...
Jason's latest and greatest
-He's almost pulling himself up onto furniture!
-Likes to look at books
-Bangs two toys together
-Stands holding onto furniture
-He takes a bit to warm up to people - just watches them for a while before giving them a smile. :)
-Needs his momma - like always. <3 He can only be a part from me so long before he needs me to cuddle him. And I don't mind that at all.
-This kid is our only one that needs to have different toys every so often. I think that's in part due to not moving much yet - and needing different stimulation instead of the same old toys. When our Early Intervention Coordinator comes by and brings her bag of toys, he loves it!

Can't remember what else... still working on more stuff, and honestly can't believe we're almost at a year old. He still laughs and switches to staring on a dime.
