Milk Bubbles

Katie and Erik had a milk blowing session. :) I was trying to get some expressions of joy, but it was more just an interesting and cute experience. :)

And the start of the milk bubbles...

And bigger and bigger...
...with more emphasis

...til there was milk everywhere!

Couchtime

These were some pictures I tried doing for one of my course assignments. I didn't use them, but I still loved them. :) Any chance that they get to jump with permission is a blast.

The Little One Year Princess

I wanted to take some one year shots of Amy - and the traditional cupcake smash shot with Amy, but it almost didn't happen. (and when it did, it was only a few months late! - reality) Finally, I just forgot about having the perfect cupcake  - just some whipped cream smooshed on top with sprinkles. :)

Always want to remember these little pigtails.

The shot is my favorite.
I loved what she did with her cupcake - just used her tongue at first to lick it....
She loved the whipped cream.

The little princess and her royal wave.
Already one.

Tickles & Bubbles

This picture was for another assignment for my "Capturing Joy" course.
We put the camera on timer and on a tripod, and I would click the shutter, run and pick up Laura, and tickle away before the camera clicked once.... and then we'd run and do it all over again. Thankfully we only had to take a few before we got this shot. :)
And I love it.
Little Amy was asleep by then... so it's just us five.
And we blew bubbles.

And did some more upside down tickling.
And tried it on the road..... :)
I just love this one of us two - James took it.
Laura is just so alive.

4 Little Monkeys Jumping like Crazy!

I spent the month of June taking a course called "Capturing Joy". It's to get more real, raw expressions during your photography session - especially in little kids. So these pictures were for my assignment one week. The kids loved being able to bounce on our bed. And when I showed them the pictures of them flying, they just laughed like crazy and wanted to keep doing it. :) So we had fun.

That there's the little tickling match in b/w...
...and in colour as I love them both...
She let mommy practice on her some more.
Put the fan on her and just had fun.
And then she had to scream as loud as she could... :)

Us Six

Throwback to January, at Tim and Lannette's wedding. :)
I like us 6.
And Amy looks so small! Time marches on.

Sidewalk Hockey

Whatever sport it is, he's all there.
He's amazing at almost everything -yes I'm biased.
And so cute.
We still have to work on good sportsmanship - especially if he loses to Katelyn. With everybody else he is usually fine... even if it's to our 14 yr.old neighbor.

I love seeing him whack the ball.
My little go-getter.
