Christmas Eve at Whitebird

Christmas Eve means the Whitebird Christmas Party.
A fun time having lunch with everyone.

Dessert time.
Amanda - still perky though she was getting over being really sick.
The employee gift draw.
Brad being Brad.
Laura pretty thrilled with her cotton candy.
Personally I think that stuff looks like insulation, but I'm glad they like it - once in a while. :)
Mark and Michelle - photobombed by Damon.
Lacey and Chris with their girls. :)
A fun time.

Tub Twins

These two together are such fun. :)

Christmas Program

Our yearly Christmas program came around, and it went well.
Katy and Erik were involved with Shelly's "Silent Night" - where they did sign language with white gloves and black lights. It was pretty neat, and I was pretty proud of them, especially Erik, who can get so nervous in front of people. But he did it with confidence.
Some of the older kid's reciting verses from Isaiah.
The Sunday School kids singing a couple songs - "Happy Birthday Jesus" and "What Can We Give to the King". They were all pretty quiet than when we had practiced downstairs... oh well.
Kirsten beautifully sang "O Holy Night".
The Tremblay ladies together - pretty family harmony.
Neat to hear Amber play on her guitar.
Junior Youth
Lliam doing a piano solo.
Rachel and Adelle (with Mrs. Marsden) did a Christmas carol medley.

And Katie also got to sing in a girls choir that Rachel, Shantel and Adelle had put together - "Joy to the World". Katy took it pretty seriously - and it was so sweet. :)
A neighbor couple came to see Katy and Erik do their songs, which meant a lot to us.
Afterwards, we all feasted on Christmas sugars, and fellowship.

First Tries

She's almost ready to be trained...and one morning, attempted it - she loved it, though as soon as she ran off the toilet, that's when we had an accident...hope to be diligent after the new year. :)
I asked her where her toes, knees and such were while taking these pictures. And she so cutely responded...
...toes...
...eyes...
...ears...
...fingers...
....teeth....
She's such a sparkly girl when she's happy and well rested. :)

Carol Sing

Every December, a bunch of us from the church will get together and have a carol sing. Mostly it's a time for fellowship and food, and some singing - just a fun casual time together.

Deanna and I matching... kinda funny as I didn't know that she had this skirt when I bought mine. And we actually wore it on the same day, when we weren't supposed to see each other. :)

Christmas Treats

December means baking time - though I tried to keep it fairly simple this year, it always takes longer than I plan. :) The kid's helped me shape the turtles - with clean hands. :)

James made the gingersnaps, and I dipped them.
Made lots of milk and white chocolate dipped pretzels.
Then we made up plates for our neighbors which James and the kids gave out.
We had our own little assembly line going.
Fun - and full.

Decorating Time

The kids were so excited to finally put up the tree and decorations.

And we need Daddy's help to put the star on top.
