Erik/Blue

Love this boy.
His eyes.
His nose,
His freckles...
His smile... and how he thinks.

Old Fashioned Clothes

We spent some time during Christmas break purging our house - which felt amazing - and a few old outfits that I wore when I was younger, appeared... So, before throwing them out, I had Katie try on...
This blue skirt and bloomers I wore EVERYWHERE and ALL the time. My mother was sure nice to let me where this so much!
One of our family's matching outfits
Fun to twirl in - I did love that about many of the dresses mom made for me - they were perfect for dancing around and twirling in. I did keep this one for dressup. :) She loved it so much.

Jason's 5 Months

This little dapper is 5 months old!
His latest and greatest-
-No more Ostomy bag!
-Is talking more and more
-Grabbing for things quite well
-Started sitting in a high chair
-Has gone through 5 hospital stays and at least 40 pokes for blood draws.
-Is the best smiler - though so not apparent here!!
-Loves to be touched and held

Love this cute dude.
His outfit was given by "Auntie" Glenda - who totally spoiled him!

Heikoop Christmas 2017

For the annual Heikoop Christmas - we met at Henry and Heather's and had a great time together.
We were split into four teams and had to put together a small puzzle the quickest - our team totally lost - and I think we had the hardest one. ;)

The fun, the chaos, and the love that goes around when we are all together.

With our cameras :)

Such a spread - this year Sarah and Lannette did most of the food, which was such a treat!
The highchair corner. :)
The girls at the island.
And the boys corner.
Chatting with Nelly and Peter in Portugal.

Getting ready for presents!
Opa and Oma gave out hoodies to everyone!
Opening up all the Christmas presents for the Aunts and Uncles. (dolls for the girls, Lego for the bigger boys, and puzzles, or books for the younger ones.

Lego making partners.

These guys wrapped the best gift for the adults :)
Tim trying to keep the "stealing" (white Elephant'ish' game) going.
Deanna showing off her gift. :)
That stool was the gift that James and I received - and love it.

Amidst all the wrapping - there was little Avelyn.
Wonderful time with everyone.

Ohio Christmas

After a 6 hour "blizzardly" Christmas drive- where we couldn't always see the road - we made it to Ohio - to Mom and Dad's. And a wonderful Christmas dinner awaited! So nice to be together.
Arianna waiting for her food. :) And giving Auntie Liz a silly face.

This guy did really well on the trip - though I found his tummy need some stretching time afterwards.
Christmas day is also Mark's birthday, so we got to celebrate with them - and enjoy the ice-cream cake Jennelle made.
Then we went for a wintry walk - and this little girl - (whose coat I managed to FORGET!) got all bundled up like a tramp - but such a cute one - and we made it around the loop by their house.

Mom making something yummy for us all - Hot chocolate.
And Mom and Jennelle fed us all with incredible food as always - during the next couple days.

Mom had gotten gifts for us all - which was very generous.

Leanne, thrilled about her new doll.

Jennelle and Mark made stockings for us all this year - just like they did when we visited them last Christmas! That was such incredible blessings too - full of special snacks, toys, books, and neat things. :)

Mark giving us his accordion recital.

Looking at Erik's tractor book.
Decorating cookies and a gingerbread house that Jennelle made.

I did a quick photo shoot for these guys. :)
Jennelle had pizzas for the kids to make - and while they ate those - James and I had a quick date to talk about goals for the new year. :)
 They loved making them.

Mark had this pizza oven that they had given to them. Pretty neat.
Then, later on that day, we packed up, and headed home - and was home by around 10 p.m. A good time with family and blessed their love.
