Baker Kate
Katelyn's First Car
Yesterday, Mr. Kenyon - a dear elderly friend of the families was by the Windmill for his weekly visit when he brought this over for Katelyn. Her own car. He got this second hand, and it's in such great shape and now all sanitaryish. :) When James first put her in it, she held on to the steering wheel as he drove her around. I know..cute. :) The blue handle comes off as well, so it can be used as a wagon of sorts, or as her own car.

Pink Princess
Buddies
Today I looked after a friend's two children: little Avia (7 1/2 months) and Jared (2) They were both so good. :) It was fun to see Katelyn 'play' with her friends, since she isn't around many other babies...at first she was really excited, but then she got a bit mommy clingy. :)

The Muffin
My Birthday!
I turned 25 on the 5th of January. It was such a lovely day, mostly due to my wonderful husband. :) He brought me a delicious breakfast in bed, then we all went to the Windmill, where I worked for a couple hours. A few of my nieces and James had decorated my work area with balloons and streamers. :) Very special.
Where I work. :)

A gift from some of my neices - candy, an ornament and a chocolate. So sweet of them.
Ivan made the cupcake with my initials on it (with help from Lydia) and Valerie did the playdough ornaments. :)
And little Squeak - Valerie - made this "pie" for me as well. :)
Then after work, I got ready to go somewhere...James was surprising me...so here's Katelyn and I dressed in pink and ready to first drop her off for her babysit time other than James - (Hannah looked after her) and then James took me in a fancy borrowed car off to...
..."The Olde School House" resturant by Brantford. He got me going trying to figure it out, and then it hit me. :) The School House is an elite resturant - the Queen came to visit in the late 90's. Very good food, staff in suits etc...and to top it all off - we had the whole resturant to ourselves on this wintry night.
My birthday cake. :)
Such a special night. Then back to the Windmill after picking up our little missed daughter, and had a nice time with the family there, saying goodbye to Marvin and Marlene who were leaving the next morning....and then back home to open some more presents. :) So blessed...thanks to all who made is such a special day. A perfect birthday I think. God is so good.
New Year's Eve/Day
2010 is here already! New's Year Eve came and went - but with some memories attached. James and Brendan (guy from our church) and one of the elders led a small group from our church in songs, and a bit of special music as well as fellowshipping, food and a game. That was for most of the evening there at the chapel. Then we cleaned up and made it back to the Windmill 10 minutes before the clock turned in the new year. :) Hugs and kisses all around, and then rushed home to get to bed.

Us, cranberry juice and ferrero rocher chocolates. :)
Doing some games at the Windmill for New Years Day. :) Nelly organized it all and did such a cracker jack job of it. There were four teams: (my team was Dad, Tim and I -the only team with three - but Kate joined us) James, Will, Andrew(friend) and Mom another team; Marlene, Rob, Diane and Henry, and then the last team was Mark, Marvin, Heather and Sarah -via webcam. (the sweetie gave her sleep from 3 in the morning her time till 5 or 6 to join us in the games)
The teams trying to figure it all out.... Nelly did a "search through the newspaper" game (fastest to find the answers to her questions won) a "french braiding contest (where the guy has to braid the girls hair with only instructions on how to do from the girl - no helping) a "tie tying conest" where the girl has to tie the tie on herself with only verbal instructions from the guys, and then find all the items in a most magnificant picture Nelly drew that started with a "C" or an "R"...our team almost won. :) But it was so fun and Nelly did such a great job. (and there was Bible questions too)
