Our Little Family Vacation

We took the long weekend in July to go for our very own little vacation with just us as a family.
It was so nice, and honestly, stress free. Still a bit tiring, but we all had fun.
We started off by going up to Tim and Lannette's to spend the day in the Grand Bend area at the beach. (they first served us an amazing brunch at their place) The waves were lovely, and we all had such a nice time visiting and splashing in the water. The kids loved the lake.
Then, when a storm blew in, we packed up, said goodbye to Tim and Lannette, and headed to London for the rest of our time away.
We stopped at "Bernie's Grill" where we enjoyed a nice supper together. (hooray for Groupon)

Then to our hotel, and the pool! And to bed.
This was lunch the next day. :)
Getting showered off before going into the pool
Getting ready for the water - such excitement

These two are cute!

Aww-
By the second day Amy just loved to float around in the hot tub - it was so cute.
Jumping into the fairly cool water. :) Brave souls.

Holding pumpkin #3.

Love these pictures of these two interacting. James is such a great dad, and makes things fun for everyone.
The next morning, we headed off to Storybook Gardens in London. Such a cute place for my kid's ages. They have a few rides, lots of play structures to climb on - different interactive spots, and themed houses to look at.

Laura just went for it - the first one of the siblings to go down.

This a big bouncy thing - can't remember what's it called. :)

The big pirate ship
Both Erik and Katy did a great job on the climbing ropes.

Watching the ducks/

Trying out archery.
I got to go on the ferris wheel with the kids, and even though it was a smaller one, I still got butterflies. Katy and Erik were by themselves - so cute, though it made me a bit nervous to have those two out of my reach on such a high spot. :) As we're going around, I'm thinking how could I get to them if there was a problem....oh dear. Please tell me, I'm not the only strange mother. :)

But we all survived - and they loved it.

They have a great splash pad there - and the kid's had great fun. Though trying to keep track of them all with so many kids around was a bit challenging - they move so fast.

They at the end, we went on the little train.
Aren't these two sweet.
Katy took this picture for me. :)

Some passenger snapped this shot of me with the three while James was buckling Amy in the car.
Then we headed home - stopping by the Windmill to join in with the Anual Canoe Tippers BBQ supper. We had a nice time visiting with lots of people, and then headed home.
