April - Selling Flowers

A family project we took on, for the whole month of April was selling flowers. Because of border closures due to the virus, greenhouses couldn't fulfill their contracts. James had a connection with a greenhouse, and we were able to buy a whack of hydrangeas for a few weeks around Easter, and then the last couple weekends in April - hanging baskets.
They were so pretty! I posted on a few facebook groups, and we were able to sell them all. Over 3 thousand plants were sold, and hundreds of people I was messaging back and forth to arrange pickup and such. We did have the flowers outside on some nice days - for people to just pick them out, but we had some snow and it was cold, so the flowers were often in our house. So I'd set them outside just before people came to pickup, to do the whole porch pickup/social distance thing. :)

Katie - not always is it a super fun job, but always well worth the effort.

After we finished the first couple weeks, we celebrated with a take out dinner! That was lovely!
