A few pictures from August...

Maybe she'll play piano one day - with her fingers outstretched... :)
Julia came over one afternoon to help me babysit Katelyn. She pushed her on the swing, and we colored together, and made cookies. She is such a fun little girl with an inquisitve mind.
I take Katelyn with me to work at the Windmill for a few hours every week. :) She sits in her carseat while I unpack things beside her, or lays on the counter, in the sling on me, etc. She gets lots of visitors, from customers and aunts/uncles to different members of the staff checking in on her. She is well loved and well looked after.
We three went along with Mark, Rob and William to sing up north a few weeks ago up near Collingwood - this is of us traveling back. We had such fun traveling together, and Katelyn and I survived just fine being the only girls.

The "Couple's" Week

Last week, we were so blessed to have two sets of couples - good friends - come visit for a bit, on different days! We were so thankful that they were both able to stop by, or drive that extra few hours so that we could see them :) First we had Jared and Breanne...
The evening they came, after supper, we went seadooing...well at first they had a bunch of trouble getting the seadoo going, so Breanne and I watched from the shore and had a great visit...while the guys paddled to shore. :) So great to catch up.
Jared and Breanne dashing off - after finally getting the machine going. :)
James and I, with a goofy grin off for a spin.
We stayed up late talking...Breanne holding our little girl. Pretty soon, they'll have their own little baby - on a few more months!
We went to the Windmill for breakfast one morning, and then headed off to Niagara Falls, the gorge and a little drive through tour of Niagara-on-the-lake.
A picnic, before starting our hike down the gorge.
Jared the photographer taking lots of pictures - as you saw with the previous post, I put a bunch of photos up that he took for us while we were all together. :)
Me - beside the not so still waters - cooling off my feet from the hike.
James and his girl laying down on the rock.
I'm really thankful for this sling - it's been great thus far.
You can see it a bit, but there is the whirpool jet boat in the middle which we watch go back and forth along the river, soaking many people.
Katelyn with her little hat on.
Daddy - with his daughter. So that's the first couple...and then a few hours after Jared and Breanne left, David and Jordan, and their two little boys arrived. They didn't get to stay quite as long, but we had a great time with them - only wished they lived closer.
Their little boy Alan, chewing on an empty cob on corn.
Playing a game that night that they taught us.
Their 10 wk. old little boy Ayden and our little 6 wk old Katelyn. Kate was a bit scared for some reason - thus the tears. :)
Saying goodbye at the Windmill with us and the children.
Jordan and I - God has given me so many wonderful friends! I never thought I'd see this much of family and friends this year...so special. And in two days, James, Katelyn and I are off to Alberta!! :) I can't wait for my family to see Katelyn - how special that will be.

Cottage Weeken at Elim Lodge

Our weekend away - The whole family made it up to Elim Lodge for the weekend, where we got some water fun in, rest, and some teaching from an excelleng pastor (From Cambridge) up there. It was Katelyn's first holiday, and she did so well.
The chapel there at Elim Lodge - by Lakehurst, ON - about 3 hours from us.
The campers - there must have been over 500 people at the camp (Elim Lodge) at least at one time...lots of permanent campers, trailers, and cottages there.
Our lake view.
Our cabin - one of two which we rented. Mom and Dad, us three and Mark and Rob were in this one, and the other one held, Ben, Tim, Brad, William, Diane and a friend of hers, Anita. First supper, with those who had already arrived on Saturday night. That evening, a few of us went to an evening concert at the chapel.
Opa with Katelyn - he got to hold her a bunch this weekend, which made it work for us to do a few fun things over the weekend.
The men at the BBQ - Tim made the asparagus quite gormet with wrapping meat around the veggies, and bbq-ing them :)
Getting our feet wet.
Sunday lunch outside. Diane organized the food for the weekend, besides everything else for the weekend...such a servant and giver to others.
The supper making crew on Sunday evening- Diane did more of her share as always....She and James made gravy for the roast beef sandwhiches with a tiny bit of gravy powder, bbq sauce, corn flakes (as a thickener) and a few other ingredients, and it tasted very yummy. :)
Going to evening service at the chapel as a family. It was so nice to walk everywhere together.
After breakfast, James and I went out in Brad's boat (thanks Brad for letting us :) for morning devotions and some time together. It was beautiful.
Just us two.
While waiting around for the others, James and I went swimming in one of the pools there. He swam first, I held Katelyn and then switched. :)
Since Tim had my camera (and took pictures for me) I thought I'd put this nice picture of my brother in law on. :)
James and I sitting up front on the motor boat, getting splashed and having great fun.
Mom driving Brad's boat!
James got to do some wakeboarding behind Brad's boat - he had fun, and I loved watching my husband.
Catching some air.
Our sweet daughter in her first sunglasses. :)
Waiting for lunch.
Brothers challenging one another...
Eating our lunch at "The Snackery", where you can buy some groceries, odds and ends, lunch and treats, before we left for home.
Us two... :) (with borrowed sunglasses :)
