Christmas at New Year's & my Birthday!

NEW YEARS EVE:
James was in charge of the small New Years Eve party at our church so off we went to celebrate the last year with some friends. First we stopped in at a Tim Hortans as we had arrived early at the church.

Katy and Daddy.

Everyone working on a game made up by Nelly.

Working hard.
Then after it was over, we went to Henry and Heathers for the final countdown with a few other people, and then back to our little home where took pictures of us two by our Christmas tree. :)
NEW YEARS DAY: (our Christmas Day)
This was the day I was sick, and starting having contractions. So I looked at the Christmas dinner (sigh) and then left the table to have a bath. Thankfully that stopped the contractions, and I was able to get warm again, and able to enjoy the rest of the evening of exchanging gifts.
Some of the family at the table. (in the resturant at the Windmill)
Exchanging gifts.
Mark had Katelyn's name for Christmas. (all the original uncles and aunts get a nephew or niece's name for a gift, and they all get one of the uncles or aunts- and all of the Heikoop adults get someone else's name) He have her a cute pair of soft brown boots, farm block puzzle, and a cool handmade wooden barn to store the puzzle/or other toys in. He painted it green. A fun toy! She was happy! It was sweet of Mark to invest that time in something so special.
James with a couple of his many gifts from Tim - he also got a bluetooth, and a trombone book.
MY BIRTHDAY:
It started with breakfast in bed - so lovely. Katelyn and I posing that morning in bed - it's the full term pregnancy look. :) (in otherwords, blah...)
James and Nelly had collabrated together on some things. :) I came downstairs to this lovely bouquet of flowers that Nelly had put together...
...a birthday banner from my sweet husband... and a beautiful table display. (the banner reads, Happy Birthday Sweetmommysis".
That evening James took Nelly, Katelyn and I out to a lovely Chinese meal at Kings Buffet.
Us two at the resturant. Afterwards, Nel watched Katelyn for us while we went on a date to see "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" in 3D. We enjoyed that a lot. Then it was back to the chapel where Nel had decorated a little room all purply and pretty. James wheeled me in to the dark room where everyone was seated, holding sparklers and singing "Happy Birthday" to me. I felt loved. I knew some of the family was going to be there, but didn't know that almost everyone was there. :) Special.
My cake! Made by my very own personal baker. (and in purple)
ODDS AND ENDS:
Me at 38ish weeks.
Nelly came for a visit one day, and we both walked back to the Windmill together.
Wintertime in Mount Pleasant.
WINTER PARTY AT THE WINDMILL:
This year we had the annual 'Christmas' windmill party upstairs in the Windmill. Rob ordered Chinese food, and Nelly re-did the upstairs look. :)
Katy waiting for her 'noodles'.
One of the tables. (more the young people's table)
Another table of workers. The bakery girls and grocery gal. :)
And yet again more... We sure are blessed with our employees. Such a friendly and loving bunch. Feels like family.
And some more - with Mr.Kenyon (with white tie)
And some more.
And the last table. :)
We sang one song together - "No One Else." And then we all played a game James (with major help from Deanna via e-mail) put together called "Jeopardy" - the game show. It mostly worked, and then we had dessert and then home and to bed. Super tired. :)
