It was the outdoor chapel cleanup on Saturday. Fun visiting and working in the lovely sunshine.
Erik loved playing in the dirt. Such a cutie.
Story of his shirt: I bought it at a thrift store, and when I gave it to him, his eyes got big, was so excited in his face, took it, put it on the ground and just stared at it - so thrilled - then it was "tractor"!! That boy.
Katelyn helping Mrs. Doris water the rose of Sharons.
Karen and Shantel working together.
Shantel's pretty arm. :) Pearls and gloves. Our very own Donna Reed. :)
Wayne and Shayne working on cleaning the Bethel Park sign.
Some of the men planting the rose of Sharons.
The brickworking family - Wes, Bre and little Peyton.
Marissa and Laura - thankful for the willing hands to help love and care for some of the younger ones.
Then it was off to sing at a banquet that evening in Hamilton.
Celebrating 100 years of the WEC (Worldwide Evangelism for Christ), they had a delicious dinner, with music - us Heikoops-, speaker, and some history of the misison. WEC was started by C.T. Studd, and is run with a lot of prayer, as they send different missionaries out -focusing more on the more remote areas The Heikoop family was involved many years ago, at their prayer meetings - but this was my first experience with WEC.
It was such a powerful night - what the speaker shared with us was amazing - testimonies of the power of God, both here in Canada and overseas - and the incredible importance of prayer.
Singing - thankful for how well it went.
Then back home to pick up the children, and to bed.
