With Mark & Jennelle

We pulled into the rented farmhouse where they are living around 11:30 on Christmas Day, and then stayed up til 1a.m. chatting and seeing the house. :) Jennelle gave us tea and cookies, and eventually we went to sleep.. well.... sorta sleep. Poor Leanne had been teething over the holidays, and picked that night, to literally wake up every 20 minutes. So I was picking her up out of the playpen and feeding her almost all night long, to keep her quiet and trying to get some sleep.
We survived, and I slept in, and after a glorious brunch, we had some devotions, the kid did some memory verses for Uncle Mark and Aunt Jennelle, and then we opened the crazy amount of gifts that they had put together for the kids and us! It was incredible how much they blessed us...
They even had stockings for all of us!!

Treats, new toothbrushes and toothpaste were inside all of the kid's socks.

Then they had a gift under the tree for them - Amy got a cute rabbit puppet.

Laura got a chicken/turkey puppet that made us all laugh!
They gave us some great audio CD's to listen in the car, and so many other treats! We felt incredibly spoiled!
Then it was off to go sledding nearby.

We all fit into one sled... though this time Leanne didn't actually go down. :)

We did lose Erik on the way.
Mark and Leanne... at USA Thanksgiving time - Leanne would get so scared of Mark and his facial hair - but this time, she seemed just fine.
These two lovebirds - and their little wee love that's arriving in April!
Laughing at someone going down...
My happy girl.
Mark accepted the dare and made it all the way down standing up.

Erik - so happy to have snow around!

I love this guy's wave as he goes down.

Making the long trek up.

Racing down with James in the middle to video.

Jennelle the amazing - running around with so much energy!
My little snowbunny.
Back at the house, after some warm drinks and snacks, Jennelle brought the gingerbread house for the kids to do - which they did, but here's just a picture of these two, trying to make the house stick together first. :)
Then it was the "Unwrap the Chocolate Bar" game... :)

This little lady rolled the most "6's" and definitely got her share of chocolate. :)

We laughed so hard

The candy house. :)
The next morning another amazing breakfast, and then, Mark took James, Erik and I on a tour of SMAT - School of Missionary Aviation Technology - an accelerated program for flight mechanics. He will be finished there in August, and it is so neat to see him enjoying it!
Different missionaries that have gone through the program and are on the field.
Erik was in awe of seeing how airplanes worked.
The resource center - so cool to see right here, you had info on so many planes.

Mark showed us some projects that the students work on -
Figuring out how to solve problems in electricity - batteries, etc... everything...

Erik thought this was a cool plane - and got a seat in it.

We got to check out an US Army plane that the students use for learning and Erik got to sit in the Pilot's seat.
So many controls...and some missing

Outside, they had more planes that they saw.
The school. :)

And when we came home, we had a "snack" (though if it's prepared by Jennelle, it's pretty much a meal, right before Marvin and Marlene arrived on route to Ontario! Then we had an entire Christmas Turkey Dinner that Jennelle had made! So neat to see them here, and we had quick dinner visit, before packing up, and leaving for home.
Katelyn posed with the house before leaving.
Then it was listening to "The Secret Garden" a gift from Uncle Mark and Aunt Jennelle that made the trip go by so quick, and with no fussing. :) A lovely trip where we felt very blessed by them.
