Always an exciting time to get the tree up, and some decorations around the house! I don't love the extra stuff around the house - and really, what we do is fairly minimal, but I love how excited the kids are to make it all festive.
We got a real tree this year - a fun holiday experience, were there were 9 of us, plus 2 cousins, walking towards the checkout at Home Depot. James held the tree in one hand - our Christmas tree just straight up in the air, and a couple little kids crying in the cart. :) I quickly exited to the van with the sad ones, as I felt like we were just a bit too in the limelight. ;) One of those, not so "Christmas Hallmark" moments. :) But we got it, and it survived.
It was Jason's turn to put the star on the top of the tree.
