Fall Camping Trip

We had some gorgeous days in early November, so on a whim, we took the kids for an overnight camping trip to a conservation near us. We've never tented with all the kids before, so we knew it would be an adventure - and decided to do a walk in campsite a bit further in.
Jason trying to pull the wagon. :)
The kids were all so excited!

This guy wasn't so thrilled tho... he actually didn't do so well on the trip. Many sit down tantrums and crying. I was glad it was off season and no one near us.
Dad to the rescue.

Leanne running back and forth from the van and the site.
I LOVE having some big kids. :) They set the tents up for us, as they've had practice at home.

Remember those moments that we choose to forget. :)
Adele, living her best life.
Finding a pretty spot to take a picture.
Then they all wanted in.
Now me, mom. :)
After our site was set up, we took a walk around the lake - it took us a while and we finished in the dark, but it was a fun adventure.

When we got back to our site, we had hot dogs and singing and bed. :) It was a long night - and it was cold! But we made it.

Fuzzy picture of us trying to stay warm and eating breakfast.

Then packing up time!
Someone still struggling with life.
But when dad gets up, life is so much better for everyone.

We did it. No running water, no real major camping gear, (and an outhouse down from our site) but we made it out alive and dirty. :) A great but tiring, family memory!
