Heikoop Cottage 2017

Heikoop Family Cottage Time!
We were able to get out of the hospital after Jason's first virus episode, just in time to pack up and get away with the whole family for our vacation. It was so nice - just past Kingston, where we had rented a big cottage with a few smaller buildings where all bunked up. In the Heikoop Family, whoever has had the latest baby gets the best accomandations, which happened to be us this year. :) Very thinakful that we had the cottage with running water and couches, as we had some problmes with his ostomy bag almost every day. :)
Chilling on the steps.
Tim and Lannette's turn to make dinner.

Part of the stairs that led to the beach. It was definitely a little hike up and down, but still nice.

The boys loved kayaking again this year.

We had this slide/diving dock that some of us really enjoyed. The slide was pretty bumpy, so I spent most of my time just trying to get a good dive in.
Sarah with Ian.
Reuben working the kayak.
Mark and Jennelle in Jonathan's boat.
Dear Auntie Dee - reading to the kids.
Arianna and Uncle Ben
Amy and cousin Arianna -she just loves babies.
Dad and Mom looking through Nelly and Peter's wedding pictures.
Playing Settlers.

It was great to have some Playground equipment for the kids.
This is the cottage where we, Mom and Dad and Tim and Lannette stayed.
The big cottage is where we ate, relaxed, and it had a small lap pool that the kids really enjoyed! Ben and Dee stayed there, and Brad and Diane stayed in the next cottage, Jonathan, Sarah and then Mark and Jennelle stayed in the next place - with Will and Amanda being at the beach house.

These two cuties.

This is a typical Lee-Lee face - abit annoyed
Crawling - as she was imitating some of the kids in a game.

Riding the side-by-side around the trails there.

Hudson the fisherman - that's his favorite thing. And he does well.
Diane - always serving and thinking of others.

Uncle Mark and his namesake, Jason Mark. :)

Joel working on his fishing skills.

Brad showed Erik how to "troll" in the fishing boat, which he thought was pretty cool. So all the cousins had some good boating times.

James was showing them a movie off his phone so they wouldn't hear the sounds of a chipmunk in the ceiling. :)

Pushing Uncle William in the water!
Mark catching some air.
Me trying to "dive" off the top of the slide - rather scary. :) But William dared me, so I managed to do it.

Laura and her frog she caught.

Taking Jason inside with the laundry

Going for a fast boat ride.

Reuben's birthday

Mom and the cuddlebug.
For Reuben's birthday they all decorated cupcakes.

Someone getting into the wipes.

David in the sand.
The last day we had a couple's boating race. Had to start touching the tree, then run into the boat paddle up aways around a buoy - felt like forever, and then back to touching the tree.... It was fun.  We lost - I think Sarah and Jonathan won...or Mark and Jennelle.

Ready....set...
...go...
The kids swimming in the pool.

The front of the cottage. Such another great week away. I loved being able to just relax after the whole busyness of hospitals and Jason's needs. Good memories.
