Celebrating our 10th Anniversary-

So after much planning and packing - and lots of wonderful family who took the kids (Ben and Dee had Amy and Leanne, Brad and Diane took Jason and Laura, and Henry and Heather took Katy and Erik), we headed off for 5 days away. And to warmer weather. :)

Walking to our plane in Hamilton.
Just us in the plane - so nice.
 From snow -
 - to blue skies, the ocean and green.
Day one almost done in traveling - but walking onto the cruise ship for the 2 day cruise.
 Leaving Miami, Fl.
The food was wonderful, and we enjoyed that.

Checking out the shades in the shop - but we just looked.
The 2 days (3 nights) during the cruise, was supposed to stop at 2 different islands - but we couldn't stop the first day, as it was too windy for the ship's tender boats to go back and forth. So we just circled in the ocean, and instead, we walked the decks ^^^ - and read on those infamous vacation chairs.

It was refreshing to be on the water, and just be together. Walking - listening to music, and reading. Really enjoyed that.
Then we got thirsty we got a pina colada - the unadulterated kind ;)

Us again - cause that's what you do when you can be alone. :)

Being silly again - cause we don't do silly much :)

Our ship is second from the end - Norwegian Sky.
We did get to go to Nassu - Bahamas. And we rented a scooter just like we did on our honeymoon. Then we went straight across the island - the long way - took over an hour, and saw the real parts of Nassu.

My oh so cute, not staying on my head properly helmet - and an ice coffee from Dunkin Donuts - where we got free wifi and had figured out our day.

At the beach where we wanted to go. :)

It was so pretty - and very few people. We had borrowed some snorkling gear from family members, and enjoyed seeing the ocean and it's little fish up close - like too close at times. I was 3 feet from a sting ray when I thought I better move away. :)

Then we began our trip back - just finding a gas station in time - the whole thing cost us $7 in fuel.

Back to our ship with mascara eyes. :)
At breakfast the next morning - off the ship by 7:30 - rent a taxi to take us to a rental place, but they were all full, as were all the rentals...so we used a metro rail train, then a metro train to the Miami Airport, where we tried getting a Greyhound bus - but too expensive, then finally got a rental car there.
 On the metro rail.
Then we began our four hour trip up to Orlando - stopping to swim at a very wavy beach along the way.

It was a challenge to get back up - trying to find free wifi to feed our GPS, but eventually got to Orlando and our booked hotel around 6. Then we dashed to the mall and Walmart to get some supper and a few gifts for our kiddos, and then back for bed.
Then the next morning... off we go to fly back home again. :) It was quick but it was special.
Thankful for the 10 years we've had together.
