It was Christmas!
We finished our Advent Calendar. :)
Nothing spiritual or anything - just some dollar store chocolate squares that were fun - and easy.
But that was Christmas Eve - this was Christmas Day...
After German Pancake breakfast, the Luke 2 story and prayer, all the kid's anticipations became reality.
A friend from church gives me/us enough Oreo's to last a long time!
Katy had bought each family member something - which was really sweet. And she did so well too - giving gifts that everyone enjoyed. Daddy got some painters tape, I got some yellow napkins, Erik got a hot wheels car, Laura got a Kinder surprise, Amy got some headbands, and Leanne got a Peppa pig figure. All at the dollar store - smart dutch shopper. :)
A couple calico critters just for Leanne!
Amy got some too!
Excited about a present. :)
His first Meccano set.
I had bought a bunch of secondhand Calico Critters on facebook, and got a few things from Amazon when they were "add on" items or half price, so was quite happy about that. The girls love them, and it's a sweet toy, that is not worldly wrecked.:) (other than by commercialism!)
Auntie Annis sent them all stickers or notebooks/pads for each of them.
Opening their stockings. :)
Which was a shirt from Whitebird. :) They were all pretty excited.
Then the girls had a blast putting together a little Calico Critter Village.
When Leanne got tired of that, she played with the paper nativity - she did that a lot in December. Pretty cute to her talk to Joseph and Mary.
These two working on the Meccao Set.
Then a bit later on - we figured out the rules of "Outfoxed" a game from G&G Fehr that is super fun.
Making whip cream for the dinner that afternoon at the chapel - and someone got involved.
Then it was time to pack up and work on the dinner at the chapel. Everyone brought something, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner together.
Victor gave a short message/thoughts, and Maureen sang a poem she wrote. We had a short game, chatted and sang a couple songs. It was a lovely time.
Then after we all cleaned up, it was time to get home and everyone to bed.
Another wonderful Christmas and being thankful to the Savior for coming to earth.
