Our Jack and Jill

August 17th, 2008

Our church, Bethel Park Chapel, put on a wedding shower for us which was really special. We had such fun, and were blessed by so many wonderful things. :) (including a chocolate fountain... :) We played 'the newlywed game' where us and two other couples had to first, well the girls went out, while the guys were asked questions, and then we had to come back in, and answer them, and see if we got the same answer....and so forth with the guys going out. :) We lost quite well. :) But it was fun. Some of the questions didn't really apply, or we just haven't had time to figure it out...like for eg. "Which item of James' wardrobe would you like to ruin in the laundry?" :) There was snacks afterwards, as well as a short devotional by one of the elders. Then. that night, after we came home, James and I went for a moonlit walk, and then whe we standing by our pool, James pulled us both in, with our reasonably good 'Sunday clothes' on. :) It was awesome! :) A lovely day.

Playing the game.... :)
One of the other couples, Dan and Cathy Easveld- married for 7 months actually. Sweet couple. They got second place.
And the winning couple: Francis and Althea Allen, married 9 years. A fun loving couple who are very caring.
Opening up the gifts (right there we were opening up a Misaka serving set) with Anita French (Diane's good friend from Kenya) writing the gifts down.
And I thought, just so you might know who I mean when I talk about peope in our chapel, here are some of the older couples, who are really warm and friendly...I get my hugs from them each week pretty much. :) So, above this is Mr. and Mrs. Cooper.
The dear Thomsons...
And Mr. and Mrs. McElray - one of the elders in the chapel. :)
And that is Pauline Perry on the left, with dear Mrs. Coffey on the right.
