My parents came for 10 days at the beginning of May.
We were all so excited - to have them to ourselves, and to just enjoy the grandparents. :)
The time always begin with packages... items either brought for a birthday, just I-love-you-gifts, or things I've asked mom to bring. :) So here's the kids ready for this...
...And Grandma ready to hand them out. :)
Getting a gift from Karina
A birthday gift for Amy!
She got these from Auntie Anne-Marie. :)
Erik showing Grandpa his tractor book - so many old tractors to talk about.
Going for one of the walks to the park...
Katie walks Ruckus - a neighbor dog - almost daily. It's an "actual job" and she love it -and it teaches her some kind of dedication to responsibility . :)
My dad - being the fun guy!
Love Laura's smirk, and Erik's missing tooth.
Grandma doing what she does so well - coloring with the kids, teaching them shading and just chatting.
Lee-Lee and Grandpa doing what they do best - eating ;)
Mother's Day was just around the corner before they left - and the kids gave me these pillowcases they made for me at church a few weeks earlier. :) Special gifts.
Mom doing the kids laundry. :) Always helping - always encouraging.
Our neighbor gave us their old slide when Dad was here, so the day the left to go back to AB, they spent the morning building and attaching it to our swingset - finishing it up about 5 minutes before we had to take them to the airport.
It was such an exciting addition to the backyard!
The crew. :) (sad Leanne - or mad - not sure which...it changes so fast!)
Me and my momma. Such a special time with them.
