The Heikoop Christmas Get Together

We celebrated our Heikoop Christmas on New Year's Day, which worked well with a bunch of the in-law's family's schedules. We all headed down to Henry and Heather's for a day of games, relaxing and fellowship.
Poor Caleb broke his arm a few days before - but he was in good spirits anyways.
Auntie Lannette playing a game with the younger boys.
Playing "President"

Brad always pulls that face when I bring a camera out :)
But I got him to behave for a second!
Men in glasses
Kinda a funny one of us three - but I love it, cause we're all laughing - loving to be together.
A little more refined now. :)
Playing a Monopoly card game that Amanda taught us. I love how she likes games, and helps get us all into playing more games together. :)
So this was the start of a couple group games that William and Amanda were in charge of organizing. The first was that we were split into four groups, and then we had to go online on a laptop and download a power point presentation of our choice, for ANOTHER team to explain - as it came out - to give like a university type presentation that we were to be judged on. I tried to encourage that it be on good topics... and well, that wasn't quite listened to, as one was on constipation. :) But it was pretty hilarious to watch (and do) these presentations. We were given underwater welding as our topic, but we lost horribly in the judging, as we said way to many "ummm's".
One of the groups talking about waste water.
Cute as a button Eden.

This was another one of the games that Will and Amanda did: wrapping up candy and Tim's gift cards in yards and yards of plastic wrap - like saran wrap. It was pretty fun. And noisy. And crazy.

See...? He always pulls a face. :)
Eating our amazing Christmas dinner that Sarah and Lannette pretty much did for us all. Diane did a delicious casserole, and I did the Fehr jello that the Heikoops like. :)

Our dear hostess.

Having a camera standoff with this gal.

Happy with Oma.
Then it was finally present time. All the nieces and nephews got a gift from an uncle or aunt. Here Uncle William is giving them abit of the Christmas story, before they get their gift...trying to wait patiently.

Erik got a John Deere truck from Uncle Brad and Aunt Diane - he was quite happy!
Laura got a dolly set from Auntie Lannette and Uncle Tim.

Then it was the adult time. All the kids went downstairs for a movie while we had fun with our "white elephantish" game. This year, we each had to find something in our house (a used item) that we didn't need anymore - with the value around $50 - to give as a gift. For some it was hard, for some it was easy. :) And for someone like Heather that had to get like 7 gifts at the value - she went out and got after Christmas sale stuff at the store, which worked great!
A big laugh over Ben's gift that Mom picked - these carved antler things - which are actually super expensive... and I imagine they'll display them well!
Henry trying some headphones on.

I picked out some of the Christmas decor that Heather had got - pretty triangle tree's.

We got all the couple's a Heikoop calender for a gift this year. Kinda fun to see them all go through it. :)

Darling Di.
And mom got all of the daughters/in-law's, a nice scarf and hat for Christmas - so of course we had to pose!
Wanting to get some real reactions, I tickled Diane... :)
The two originals - missing Nelly I bet. :)

Then the in-law's had to have a shot. :)
Which we got photobombed by the other two...

Erik and Oma.
Then after collecting all our stuff, we set off to home and to bed - the end of a lovely Christmas holiday, and the beginning of a great year.
