This guy was jumping off the couch with cousin Willem - and I was watching them, so proud of Jason just trying and giving it his all.... even videoed it for a second. A few minutes later, there was a jump, and lots of crying - and Jason wouldn't put any weight on his leg... Oh dear.
We held him most of the evening, put him down to sleep, but when he woke up crying at midnight, James took off to McMaster... where yup - he had fractured his left foot.
We opted for the air cast, as he's had multiple issues with a hard cast before - where it slips off, and causes problems for his foot. He took a week or so, before he'd walk on it - that kid is fast at scootering everywhere... and then he was back moving around on his leg. Two days after Jason hurt his foot, James had taken the kids to the park, when he called me and said he thought Leanne had broken her arm when falling off the monkey bars... and sure enough - she had buckled and fractured her left wrist in two spots. Ouch. Busy week.
She got the hard cast and sling, and was so good about it.
She was re-casted twice in 4 weeks, and then wore a brace for another month. She did so well though. Even knowing she wouldn't be able to swim at the cottage, she had such a good attitude about it.
Took some pictures since she matched her cast. :)
I hope there are no more broken bones in your future! Leanne and Jason are sure growing up as they handle and deal with these trials!
