October 4th, 2019 - Mom and Dad's 50th Anniversary Celebration

50 Dedicated Years.
The Anniversary day was full like it always is when we're putting together a celebration!
So many people to see and things to do.

Sarah was in charge of the decorations - she did such a great job. :)

Theresa from the Windmill did all the floral arrangements.
Me an Amanda

James led the singing.
Rob and Tim were the M.C.'s.
Walter Mohr from WEC gave a brief devotional and prayer before the meal.

Delicious food that was catered by Devlins.
I took mom and dad outside for a few minutes to get some shots of them on their special day.

And a picture of dad and Uncle Bill - Uncle Bill had some serious issues this summer, so it was such a blessing to have him there for a bit.
The Heikoop brothers.

Dad had a few of his paintings on display - and then had a fun contest for people to win a copy of a painting they liked - Dad was going to make copies later on.
William did an impersonation of Trump giving Mom and Dad his congrats.
All the grandchildren sang "Across the Lands" for Oma and Opa.

The original family sang "Seekers of Your Heart" - loved this so much. The first time probably ever in public the whole family sang together. :)
And then to make it even better ;) - all the spouses - us in laws joined to sing "There is a Redeemer".
Heather played for us.
Then we gave Mom and Dad the CD. :)

And then after some speeches it was clean up and go home night!
The next afternoon we all met at Diane's for an early family Thanksgiving Dinner. Since Nelly and Peter were here from Portugal, and the Dycks... everyone was together. We had dinner, played a game and sang some songs before leaving.

Love this family - and love that my parents were here for it too.
