For 4 years the Heikoop family has been working on a recording - probably the last one - mostly of Nelly's songs. One's she written for family weddings, and one for Asher - Ben and Deanna's little boy born at 37 weeks. There are a few gospel centered ones as well... Anyways - it was taking us forever to do it, but with Mom and Dad Heikoop's 50th anniversary coming up, we wanted to finish it up and finally give them this recording. So many hours and so much work - especially for us not being professionals... :) William and Amanda were in SK, finishing it up with her brothers who were mixing and mastering for us - (we had done the bulk of the recording with Wayne, a man from our church) but we needed to get a few more tracks done/re done, so we had to go to a few other studios as Wayne was gone. We went to one on the reserve which was a huge studio - neat to experience it.
It was just Diane, James and I that had to do these parts - so along came Adele and Diane's Jacob.
A few days later, I met up with Tim and Lannette as they had to record a couple parts, and they got to meet Adele then too! She was 2 1/2 weeks old so still pretty new. :) Special times.
And we did - praise the Lord - the CD got finished!!!!
