Pictures from Tonight

Just thought I'd upload a couple pictures from today - I went maternity clothes shopping (well, actually material shopping) and came home with these cute baby items... :) and yes some material to hopefully make up a couple of skirts. :) But after stopping in at a baby consignment store, I couldn't pass up these adorable little clothes - and I'm not trying to choose pick pink over blue - this is just what I found this time. :)
The right sleeper has little squirrels over it - for Hammy if it's a girl, and for Hammy if it's a boy -all his blue and green sleepers are in the wash. :)
Not really a good profile picture because of my sweater, but I'm really growing - well, hopefully more baby than me. The little one loves to kick away, and I love it.
James and I tonight after coming home from Bible Study (we're going through the "Truth Project") - I had my hair cut this morning which was lovely.

Baby keeps moving... :)

Last night the baby was really kicking...so fun! :) It was the first time I could feel the little one kick on the outside of me. :) James can't feel Hammy yet, and every time he tries the baby just quiets down...I guess he/she knows authority when they feel it. :) Getting more and more excited about this little blessing...

Valentines Day!

This year was our first Valentines Day together, and it was absolutely wonderful. :) We both worked at the Windmill, and I got off earlier, so I went home and got our dinner together, and the table decorated for our special evening. :) And I got it all done, just as James walked in the door....
In the morning, when James picked me up for work, he brought me a dozen red roses....so sweet and so beautiful.
Our table, ready for James to return home.
Us two...
A bit of our dinner. Menu: Chicken Confetti Casserole, Salad with poppy seed dressings, toasted buns with cheese and parsely, and red jello adorned with cream cheese/whipped topping and strawberries.
Our dessert - Strawberry Pavlova... which was quite yummy.
About to demolish our dessert. :) James also brought me a special gift in the evening - a baby name book, with 30,000 baby names in it, and some chocolate... :) We started going through it that night - should be fun! We may end up with a very interesting name... :)

So blessed to have James as my forever Valentine.

More on our home

We were so surprised last weekend, when William dropped by with a wedding gift from Marvin and Marlene. :) They blessed us with a beautiful 7' artificial tree which adorns our living room, making it cozy and so perfect. I had wanted a tree for the living room for a while, but we couldn't find one we liked, but this one is perfect. Thanks Marv and Marlene!!!
Our living room. :)

It offsets our piano perfectly. :)

Some Things Around Our House...

Just wanted to show you around our home...our baby's cradle (stored in the guest room) and a project I did. Doesn't the cradle look adorable - just can't wait until our little one is in it!
With some blankets in it from mom.... :)
And the 'creative' project I did last week. :) I took our wedding vows and typed them out, put our picture between the vows, framed it, and hung over our bed so we can be reminded of the vows we made to each other every day.
The final project- up close. :)
This afternoon my husband surprised me with a sweet note. :) Heather dropped it off in a little bakery box, and I opened it to find a lovely cookie made for me by my own personal baker. :) It was so yummy.

Our Weekend

After church on Sunday, and ladies choir practice, James and I headed up to Collingwood (3 hours north) to join Rob, Diane and William, and friend Andrew W. for a weekend of skiing. A friend up there got us a great deal on a chalet, and we had such a fun time up there together. I didn't go skiing, but enjoyed the time up there a lot....it was fun practicing to be a mom, and be like my sacrificial mom - waiting at the bottom of the hill/ski lodge and watch them come down and take the pictures. :)
Us two on the way up north - taking a 5 min walk/break from driving.
My James - Stan from Laurel/Hardy. :)
Getting fitted up at the Rental place.
Watching the fun.
Diane and me.
Then I had an absolute blast, as while they hit the slopes, I got to go swimming all morning! The rental of the chalet included using the hotel/resort's pool and hot tubs, so I had an awesome time. I haven't been that relaxed for ages, as I swam and exercised in the water. There was another lady that was expecting, so we had a nice little visit as well.
And yes...I had to get a picture- (once the pool was just mine) :) so I set it up on the edge...carefully...clicked the timer, and jumped into the pool. :)
Then after the morning of skiing, we all met back at the chalet for lunch, and packing up our things.
James and Diane.
Our chalet, with William posing up there. (we had the bottom floor to ourselves)
On the way back to the ski hill.
The guys up front.
James, Andrew, William and Diane getting ready for the hill.
And me...getting in the group picture as well. :)
Just the guys. (posing)
...a little more normal. :)
Us two at the end of the day. :) While they were skiing, I was in the lodge reading, and organizing my computer...and watching the hill to see if they were coming down. :)
At the end of the day, James and I left earlier and had a quick Swiss Chalet supper before the trip home. It was a lovely time. :) Then home to tray up and sleep.

We heard the heartbeat!

Yesterday was such a special and successful day, as we got to hear our little one's heartbeat for the first time! :) And now I can't wait for next time. :) It was also a great day because after months and months of waiting to get all the right ID for my joint bank account with James, we got it all worked out! :) I had to get my own credit card for ID, as well as switch over my driver's license, and we also got some other stuff done ID wise - so I'm on my way to being a full Ontario citizen....though I think I'll always think and act a bit differently than most Ontarians. :)

Right now (as in, these past couple weeks) I've been preparing for helping with a ladies Easter choir in our church - learning some new pieces on the piano, and trying to get a medley together before Sunday. :)

So that's all for now - James is picking me up for lunch/work in a few minutes.....so blessed. :)
