Sinktime

This girl has a thing for baths.
Anytime, anywhere - even in her pajamas, she finds her way to the water. :) Usually it's with some accompianment, though there was that time when after all the little ones were in bed... After a while I heard some walking around upstairs - and being the good mom I am, went to check on her. She had just got of the bathtub, with all of her p.j.'s soaked. :)
Quite a little lady.

What Quiet Means

Evidence of some alone time in the bathroom....
You'd think with having four children, I'd catch on to what quietness means.
A whole roll of toilet paper. Unrolled.
I have to say, I did laugh when I saw this mess, and James said, "you better get your camera".
Some things, just have to be remembered. :)

Her Little Faces

Just little Amy and her cuteness.

Turning Four

Our sweet little guy turned four!
He got his breakfast in bed - on our floor - which has been becoming a special place to sleep in the middle of the night, as dreams, and coughing spells have been more difficult lately.

Some friends stopped by for a bit - Rachel, Adrianna and Marinna (she was visiting from South Africa) which was nice for the kiddos, as well as for me.

He had a lovely day, and Auntie Nel, Uncle Mark and Uncle Rob came for supper, then James,  Erik and Katy met up with the Johnson gang at the skating rink at our park. Afterwards they all came back for some cake and hot chocolate.
As he is still all about excavators, tractors, and anything with wheels, he got a construction cake.
Super easy, and fun to make. :) And he liked it too.

The excited little guy.

His yearly picture. :)
With his presents... missing a DVD and socks from Grandma Fehr.
Blessed little kid!
A few weeks back, I asked Erik who he would like for his birthday, and he said some kids, and "oh yeah, some adults too, cause adults bring presents."

10 Months

Amy's Latest
-Can wear 2 pigtails (I know...be still my fluttering heart!)
-Now has three teeth, with the fourth coming in
-Just starting to walk around furniture

This was the hardest (so far) monthly pictures of her I've done. Sitting still isn't an attibute of a 10 month old. :)

Kept giving her cheerios to keep her still for 2 seconds. :)

Throwback to the Ancaster Demolition Derby 2014

Yes - this is from September of last year. But it was too good of memories to leave off the blog. :) Cause, it was the first time that a Heikoop (that we know of) was in a demolition derby. :)
Ben and Brad each took a night in this car, at our local fair, driving it like crazy! We all were there for Ben's night, and James went the next night with a few of the kids to watch Brad. Watching Ben drive was neat - and a bit scary too. If I was Deanna, my heart would've stopped a bit. But it was fun!
 There's our car! 868.
Ben did really well in the race - think he was 2nd.
Henry and Heather were there too - as I had just finished taking their family pictures that night.. Fun to be all together rallying for Ben.

 These two are cute. :)
 See? :)
Hannah with Erik in the caught-in-the-headlights-look.

Aunty Diane sharing some of the yummy fair food with Laura.
 Deanna and her handsome driver.
At the end, just before we left, James asked the guy who ran the carousal for a free ride.... and eventually he got it. :) I guess since no one was on it, it made the guy more money by making it look like the carousal is a fun ride, to have us on it. :)

Partners in Crime

I think Katy had taken Amy out of her crib that morning, and this is what I came out too... little rascals. :) But such cute ones.

Laura is such a good little mother. :)

At Thirty

I made thirty.
Crazy. Normal. Reality. :)
I don't mind the number - though it does seem strange that the 20's are over. For good. It just doesn't seem like I'm deserving of 30. I look so young. :) But it's a new year, and I'm thankful.
James made this sign for me, which I saw after he made me breakfast in bed. :)
Yeah - I know. She's not supposed to do this.
Too cute.
The rest of the day was lovely - Oma and Nel came for a bit, did some odd things, got ready, and James took me out for supper and then we met up with a bunch of family and friends at a bowling alley for a couple hours. We had fun. I did terribly at bowling - like ouch.
(pictures are from Heather's phone - so glad to have these memories)

It was a great time - felt spoiled and loved.
James gave me his gift there - an iphone 4. :) My first cell phone - at 30 ! :) (disclaimer - did use his flip phone that we added a few minutes to, but this one is all mine!) I was quite thrilled, and am so glad that I can finally text him, and do a few extra things with this phone.
So here we go Thirty....
