April 2022- April Life

Adele doing her reading time.
Mark made it up for a short time - so he finally got to meet Michael.
It is sure special when we get to see him- missing his family tho.

April 2022- Anne-Marie's Visit

Right after Lyd's wedding, Anne-Marie came to visit for a few days. It was great having her around here, and the kid's loved it too!

She puts so much time into them. The most dedicated auntie.

Went to a Jays game with the oldest four and Annie. It wasn't the most exciting game - but at least we won.

All of us after the game. We wore whatever Blue Jay swag we have been given... but I also love that Erik didn't care to wear blue. :)

A quick tea party before driving to the airport.

And off she goes - another visit with my sista.

April 2022 - Lydia & Eli's Wedding

Lydia and Eli Buck
We so wanted to make it across the border for Lyd and Eli's wedding... but didn't know if we could get across. We planned for it - but the day before, a few of the family got turned around. Someone tried another border - making it 9 hours to drive, but we decided to try that too. So leaving at like 10p.m. the night before the wedding - we got across (after almost running out of gas - we were creeping on fumes before we found an open gas station at 12am). We were so thrilled that we got through! We slept for about 2 hours on the way, but drove the rest of the way to make it in time.
This was us as we drove along! It took 9 hours instead of 1. But we made it!
Hadn't seen this guy for more than 2 years.

Such a beautiful wedding. It was such an amazing day. And to see all the family that we'd missed for so long.

Such pretty details

All the brothers were together again.
Even Mark, who had flown in from Zambia. It was sad that none of the sisters could get there - due to border issues, but we so grateful for all that could.

Mom & Dad and their sons

The pretty sparkler exit

Then we all went to H&H's, and talked and was just like it used to be before the craziness began. It just filled up my heart and none of us wanted it to end - but we had to sleep eventually.
Sweet Abby, making her breakfast.

Amanda filled the roses with M&M's... not sure why - but they were enjoyed by many.
One last picture... then we all started our trips back to Canada....
Definitely a challenge to get across. Sad to see how freedom's of a CA citizen to enter their own country is now so hard.
But even with those issues - what a delight it was to go - and grateful for all those nurse that took care of Michael - and the babysitters who watched the rest of the kiddos!
