Bunch of Cousins!

Elita and Vanessa were over for a day, and this picture is when we did "Bible time" altogether - I sat a stool as clearly, the couch was being used.
Just a bunch of cute kids.

Resurrection Sunday

We had a different kind of Sunday service - more of an Easter presentation, with the above kids choir, Adventure Club presentation and a skit with music. It went quite well for the most part, and the kids did well. Shantel took all these pictures for me, which I was quite thankful for. :)

Singing a hymn in between. :)

My little yellow princess.
This skit was about how God will take all the bad - greed, hate, pride, sorrow... and when we accept Him, and "turn our eyes onto Jesus" from our self, He will turn them into joy, love, humility, etc.
And all the boxes made a cross at the end - which didn't stick, but was a neat way to end it.

This "skit" was set to "Watch the Lamb" - very simple but powerful. Katy just sobbed after it was over - partly cause she wanted it to go "forever".
After a nap at home, we joined the rest of the clan at the Windmill for an Easter Sunday - put on by Nelly. It was great. :)

Not exactly sure what they're trying to pull off, but I think James is trying to sport an extra large belly - with Lyd accentuating it. :)
Special day with lots of special people.

Good Friday

We spent a good part of Good Friday at the Ancaster Ruins - a Conservation area about 25 minutes away. It was such a nice day, sunny and muddy. :) The kids did really well on the long trail, and what takes most walkers about an hour, took us about three. :)
Sticks played a big part in our outing.

I'm glad I brought my camera, even  though it's bulky. :)

Amy spend some time in the Ergo, the stroller, and walked the last part.

Balancing time
This face is my Erik. He absolutely loves this hat the Uncle Timothy gave him when he was a baby and wears it everywhere.

Our hike.

Yeah, I know - white runners don't really go with this outfit, but that's what happened. So get over it and move on. :)

Pokey head.
After we got home from our trip, and chilled for a bit, we did this simple craft. (cause a good day for Katy is doing something exciting, getting a doughnut and doing a craft) We cut the crosses out of black cardstock, and had contact paper underneath and placed little tissue paper squares on the top, then sealed the whole thing with another sheet of contact paper and cut them out in the end.

Apparently this was a bit of a boring craft for this kid, but that's okay. Life isn't always about doing the exciting things. :)

With their finished "stained glass" crosses. Erik hung his on the front door, and Katelyn is in her window.

The Kitchen Renovation

Well here you go at last - our kitchen. :)
And to remind you of what it looked like...
BEFORE:

And we can't forget the
 DURING:
I am so glad that these days for now are over.... :)
And here we are.
When I took this picture, there were still a few more things to fix, but it was almost done.
One day, we'll get some bar stools, but for now, it works just fine.

My pantry which is amazing. My favorite thing is that my toaster is in a little bin and life is crumb free. :) All the shelves slide out, which is great.

My "THM"cupboard - love having everything close to my blender.
The corner pantry which Amy loooves to play in.
And just to remind us all that THIS ABOVE is real life. :)
Unorganized and thrown in. Just like many of my drawers. :)

And my favorite drawer - messy it may be. :) It's my books, my planner, and close to my fingertips. :)
I just love my flooring in my kitchen. It's linoleum, hides the never-ending trail of crumbs, and it's comfortable. Dishes don't easily break too, which is another bonus.
And to show how real my life is - look what I put in the hallway while I took the pictures. :) Haha - then they went back on in the counter. (or hopefully in the fridge like a good girl should do)
So blessed to have this done - and for my man who worked so hard to make this a reality. Of course for him, he doesn't get to enjoy it in the same way as I do, but still did all the work to make life easier for me. :) I'm blessed, and I know it.
