June 2020 - Cousins & Siblings

When Deanna and Ben had their baby (darling little Clark) we had some of their kids for a few days - they all had fun - shoveling sand...
...baking together.

...and doing some outdoor chapel cleanup as a family.

The kids put up the baby swing for Adele.

Our little gymnast.

June 2020 - Summer Fun

Amazing how much fun 6 kids can havve in a little pool!

June 2020 - Food & Corrugate Creations

Erik and Katy had a cooking competition against each other, and Laura was the judge. Lucky girl. :)
I can't remember who won - but it was fun. :)
My sweet sister Anne-Marie, sent me a bunch of soup mixes from "Mitchell's Soup Co" which has been fun to use on crazy days. :)
Leanne had lots of fun playing with a box and making it crazy. :)

June 2020 - Homemade Ice-Cream & Green Plants

Katelyn made some homemade ice cream which was very much enjoyed.

And we got some plants that we ordered from OnPlants - a client of James'. They sell native Ontario plants and they come by mail. James developed some packaging for them which was pretty neat to see. (got a smart husband) It was fun for all the kids to unpack and see all the plants that we were going to plant - and hopefully, keep alive - around our yard.

Sent a free milkweed plant. :)

June 2020 - Katie's Doll Bakery

And long last - we made Katelyn's french bakery - for her dolls. Something I had wanted to do with her for years, but now, it was more of her and James' project. :) She did all the painting.
Then we assembled it all.
Coming together.

Finally setting it up!

June 2020 - MYC and Virtual Festival

Through the remainder of the school year, our MYC teacher was pretty amazing. She switched to Zoom, but kept it fun, and did an incredible job of teaching all these kids.

Then at last in June, the Music Festival was held virtually - we had to record videos of the kids doing their pieces - and then it was watched together with an adjudicator, and given a score. Laura, Erik and Amy all placed 1st in their age groups, and Katie was 3rd.  Most of the classes were pretty small, as it was held virtually - other than Erik's class which was about 8 kids. Laura and Amy competed against their cousins, and Katie was one of three.

A good learning experience.

June 2020 - Father's Day

Daddy's breakfast.

All of the children with their wonderful dad.

Katy did a mad lib story for James. :)
Opening some presents before our family church time, then some outside time before a BBQ.
Thankful for this amazing man - and what a wonderful dad he is to our children.

June 2020 - Little Bits of Life

Erik sleeping with Jason in his crib - he shares a room with Erik now, but sometimes needs a cuddle.
One of Erik's works of art.
Enjoying her little bench - found it by the end of a driveway.

On a walk...

This little pitcher of branches makes me happy.
