A Special Time Away...

James was sweet to take me away for Thursday night to a Bed and Breakfast up near Barrie (2 hours north) this past week as a spur of the moment outing... it was lovely. The place was very nice, and it was out in the country which I loved. They had a hot tub which we relished in, and served a great breakfast the next morning. Then, on the good Friday, we just relaxed and drove around the countryside, took a walk, had lunch together, and slept in the car while we waited for the evening to come - cause James was taking me to a Steve Green concert! It was so good.
Snacking on some food when we arrived. The "Burgundy Room".

The start of our breakfast, followed by quiche lorraine, sausages and a fruit cobbler.
The Bluebird Meadow B&B. The 'addition' on the left is all B&B, and their house is connected onto to it.On our walk together by the lake in Barrie.During the concert intermission, a girl came up to me and asked, "are you Elizabeth Fehr?" - a neat surprise to hear my old name called. :) It was Emily Mudde - friends through the McDonalds! I had a nice chat with her and some of her other family members - neat to see them again.Steve Green with his piano player, Hans Nelson. One thing I really appreciated about Steve Green was that he was not at all a 'showy' man, but was sincere in his singing, and it was about the Lord being glorified.

Nelly, Tim and Brendon joined us for the concert later on, so here's some of us with this neat couple. There you go...part of our Easter 'weekend'. :) We came home that Friday, worked Saturday, and then got another two days off with Easter weekend. :)

April Already

Finally...I'm back. :) To all of you patient readers, thank-you for waiting. My camera's memory card was temporaily not working right, so now, I finally can post a bunch of pictures of the happenings in our life lately.
First of all...my tupperware cupboard! This is for you Naomi. :) I finally got them labeled and arranged the way I wanted and its so wonderful...sigh....James loves it too. I was very excited to do that one afternoon, and got rid of all those awful packaging bags... And here below, we have our new kitchen look, with the extra cupboard James put in. So I have extra room now, which is simply lovely. And as you can see, we have a new member of our family - James' trombone. :) He had been wanting one for months and months, and then a couple weeks ago, a friend at our church found out about it, and had a friend whose trombone was laying around in her garage...so she gave it to James! It works great, and he is practicing away. And it's really neat, cause Mark got a trombone too - one mom and dad Heikoop picked up in the states, so they're both working on it, and hopefully soon, we'll have a duet. :)And we had a car accident a few weeks ago, just down our road a block away...the school bus got tipped over by this blue car... :) No one was hurt (it was March break so no kids were inside thankfully) and the bus drove away, but it was some excitement for the little village of Mount Pleasant.
And us girls - after we sang a couple songs at our church for special music, we got a picture cause we were matching. :) Don't I have pretty sisters? :)
Today is week 30 for baby and I, and we're getting so excited about this little one coming. I've been having fun starting to collect some items for Hammy and thinking about how to get the baby room ready eventually. :) Both James and I are doing well - just had our 1oth month anniversary yesterday, but we celebrated it the day before with a Costco hotdog on our way home from Toronto. :)

Marvin and Marlene are here visitng, and we're having a great time with them all. On Monday, we all went to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto which was great, and fun to see the place again, as that was where James and I had our first 'dinner date' together when we visited two and a half years ago. Anyways...enough with random thoughts and info, hope you enjoyed the little Heikoops update. :) (are you happy Loren? :)
