Peek A Boo

Playing with her - and got some cute reactions out of this little firehouse. :)

Overnight Getaway

James organized a mini getaway - a Friday night in a nearby city. It had a waterside which was a huge pull for the kids. Jason got to wear his swimming shorts. :)

The hot tub crew. James watched all six kiddos for a bit while I got a couple workouts in during the time we were there. :) And I joined them in the pool too.

Splash!!
Striking a pose for me. Little Monkey

"Helping" Katie out of the pool. :)
Daddy and Jason.

Our Two Year Old

This little girl was pretty happy. She got sugar! I left her alone with her breakfast, and when I came back to her, the smarties were about gone - but the rest was still here. :)
Opening books from Grandma Fehr.
We got her a second hand stroller, which she loved.
Her Peppa Pig cake. : )

Trying to blow the candles out.

A couple days later, we took her annual 2 year pictures. :)
Little darling
Leanne at Two
-Definitely Cute
-Definitely strong willed :)
-Super smart - Talks really well - and has been counting to 10 for a while. :)

Her gifts this year - the Peppa Pig pillowcase was made by Emily - which inspired the cake I had made. :) The dress was from Auntie Anne-Marie.

Eight Months

Jason's Latests
-He eats crackers (yum yums)  by himself - and watching him bring food to his mouth is pretty cool for this mom to see.
-He bites down on a teething vibrator...it took him a while to "get it".
-Makes new sounds - blah, dah.
-He's getting so chubby :) his dietitian said to cut back on the solid foods... :) (20lbs. or so)
-Has the best belly laugh
-Loves face to face contact (though he always has - so it's not the latest)
Once in a while, I think - wait... The other kids were crawling at 6 months, had teeth at, at least round 5 months... and Jason is not at all close to those stages at all... and it can hit my heart. That this is really real. That he won't be hitting all the typical milestones that others can make.

But it's okay. I know that...
I can't compare him. Any time I compare, I know the joy will be taken from us. Yeah, I still do once in a while. I'm learning... but probably a ton slower than Jason is. He is such a darling - we all just love him. He's happy yes, especially if you give him lots of attention. :) But hey, aren't we all happier if we get some attention?

Every little milestone he makes that's typical for other kids, is a bit deal to me. :) Probably always will be. So "you'll" have to be okay with me going nuts over what may seem small to others. :)
Those precious toes. Can't wait for summer when we can ditch the socks, and I can love on his roly poly rolls. :)

Easter Shots

On Good Friday we went to a service at another church - which was great. In the evening we went to Hamilton to go to a "The Lion, the Witch, the Wardrobe" play at a church there. Turns out everyone else had that idea, and it was full, full, full. Thankfully and thoughtfully, they broadcasted it in the lobby and we watched it on the screens there.
And the cool thing was that the actors all had to walk around us, so the kids thought that was great. :)

With the White Witch. :)
On the Saturday, we did the easy Resurrection Rolls for the kids. :)

The "tomb" is empty. :)
A friend gave Jason this onesie which he looked cute in.

We had our friends, Dan & Kelly over for Easter dinner, and our Alberta friend Kathryn - who is studying at New Tribes Mission (Ethnos) here in Ontario, also came for part of the weekend.
We had a nice time together - and a little Easter Egg Hunt -which is what Laura is working on above. :)
Kathryn doing puzzles with the kiddos.

Having fun with the crew - that was a bit chaotic that day. :) Enjoyed having that girl around!

Easter Egg Cookie Decorating

Maureen came over to do cookie decorating with the kids again- which they loved!
Even Leanne got right into it.

The crew -
The cookies - that the kids waited anxiously until lunch to each. So appreciate the times others put into our kids. :)
