June 2022 - Father's Day

So, we did that thing - where the wives buy all the same shirt for their husbands - and they walk into church and see so many guys with the same one....it worked out great. It took some a bit into the morning to realize it, and others just minutes... but it was lots of fun. Silly of me tho'; I ordered a few shirts for some of the ladies, but I forgot to order James'! So - he had a look a like, but not quite identical. But he still caught on that he was one of the group!

I love how the kids think through their presents for James. They definitely do a great job in giving. 

 

June 2022 - Katie's 13

I've got a teenager! So awesome, and so crazy. :) 

Katie had some friends over for ice-cream sundaes and then had another friend and her family over the next day.

Celebrating our 14th anniversary with an ice coffee. This year was pretty quiet - after church bible study we had some at home snacks together - but so grateful to God for this man.

I love the girl's smile. I don't take time to play with my kids much... which is not great - but she really wanted me to play playmobile together, so we did. Which was special. Her glow in her eyes reminds me how worth it, it is to just play. Just us.

 

June 2022 - With Friends

These guys. It was so special for Erik to have these guys around for part of the summer. They are nephews of someone in our church and were visiting on and off for a while. Erik had such a great time with them, and having these kind young boys around was a treat. Sure wished they lived closer.
