The Baby Room!

At long last, I finally got the baby room pictures here for you all to see. :) We are so blessed to have all this nice furniture that we bought second hand from a family near Hamilton. The Lord is so good - sure don't deserve all these wonderful things, but I will enjoy them as gifts from Him.
This is taken from the 'hallway' - so coming into the baby room, you see the picture of the baby shoe that Amanda P. took - it's us Fehr kids shoe. :) Most of us wore that shoe I believe.
Our sleigh crib with the handmade quilt from Mrs. Skarbo gracing it. :)
Where I shall spend many happy hours keeping baby Heikoop clean. :) I have the drawers full of diapers, sleepers, onesies and blankets, all washed and ready for this little one's arrival to our family.
And our glider/rocking chair by the window and bed. Baby shoes from mom and Anne-Marie.Today the nieces came over with a wagon of lilacs they were blessing people with around Mount Pleasant. :) They knew how much I love them... :)
And just one more picture...to show our new 'nightstands'. :) Just simple bookshelves, but to an organizers heart, they bring me joy. :) I can get at my things so much easier now... So thats it for now - life is beautiful.

Jostie Concert

It was so special to see my cousins, the Josts in Alymer last weekend. Nelly came with me since James couldn't make it, due to Market starting and soccer, but we had a wonderful time. So neat to see faces that I've known for years here in my own 'turf' now. :) They did such a wonderful job singing - so neat to hear some of their new songs, and the voices that are emerging....
Heidi and I with our little ones in the oven's. :) So special...

Victoria Day!

For our 'day off', we spent the afternoon biking. We biked about 17 km, and then relaxed abit in Hamilton. It was such a gorgeous day, and perfect for me to bike, since it was mostly downhill and with the wind. :) I think Hammy enjoyed the bike ride being with all his/her uncles and aunts.
By 'Dundurn Castle' in Hamilton.

By a Church in Hamilton -

Sister Weeks!

We had Anne-Marie and Charissa come visit us for three weeks, and it was lovely. :) We had such fun socializing and doing tons of fun stuff all together. James got to know his sis-in-laws even better, and they him, and we all just a blast. :) So thankful they could come see us, and bless us little Heikoops. On the way home from picking them up at the airport...all gorgeous. :) We were so blessed by some gifts from dear friends from Alberta and Montana for baby Hammy. This blanket was from Rebecca - she made it! It is so beautiful, and it's fun too, cause the little 'angels' remind me of Karina. :) This gorgeous quilt was made by Dianne Skarbo for baby Heikoop. :) It has lots of colors in it, and bordered in purple - my favorite color! Such a labor of love.
Alison L. came and visited Anne-Marie (and us!) during the first weekend, so James was surrounded by girls. :) We had fun together.
Us two one Sunday afternoon.
We went out to Swiss Chalet the first Monday they were here, and then from there we went bowling with everyone in Hamilton.
The 'other side' of the table. :)
Anne-Marie and Diane in the midst of bowling away.
We had a great time bowling and competing against each other - some good scores made it to the board, with a lot of laughs too. Charissa helping James in the bakery. (I think stirring the meat pie filling)Anne-Marie doing some kind of shelf work. :)
And me - I guess I was about 32-33 weeks then....
One afternoon, a lady from our church had us girls over for tea - and it was quite the spread, with scones, cucumber sandwhiches, cake, whipped cream and fruit, and more.... we had a lovely time. A friend of hers came and joined us for part of it. :) We enjoyed trying to be elegant, but just had too much fun.
Mom Heikoop took us girls out for breakfast in Simcoe one morning which was so sweet of her. Then we went shopping there, and to our delight, we all found a pair of shoes we liked. :)
Anne-Marie and I one Sunday evening.
Little sis and I
The girls left us for a couple days, to visit Elizabeth D. before her upcoming wedding. We met at the Elm Hurst Inn near London, and had tea together before leaving the girls with her. So James and I had a quiet intermission until their return. :)
James and I during the tea time. :) Once the girls came back, we had a nice outdoors work day, cutting vines down, bushes out, and did a bit of planning. It was so good to work outside again. That evening, we all went to the bakery to help James 'tray up' for the week. They are doing the glaze for the Chelsea buns. Games night at the Windmill. We took the girls to the Sound of Music at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto before they left which was so special! Before we got to the theatre, we stopping in at Subway to grab a bite after our rushing through the city after seeing the funeral home where Tim is working... Us all after the event - the musical was so fun to see and very well done. I had never seen something quite that high class before.
Us on the Subway back to our car late at night. While the girls were here, our dear friend Althea had her baby, little Avia. We got to see her four days after she was born - which was very special. :) Lord willing, in a few weeks, I'll have my own little one to hold. :) Can't wait baby Hammy!
On the last Monday with them, we all went biking by Niagara Falls - a beautiful day.
Us three sisters by the Falls.
Stopping for some food on the way home from our excursion.
Anne-Marie playing piano before off for tennis or something of that nature.
The duo-Charissa and James. They got along quite well. :) Anne-Marie and Mark formed the opposing team. I did play, but enjoyed getting my feet up after the first game. :)
And after the tennis time, Charissa and Anne-Marie gave me a pedicure which was simply delightful. :) Felt rather spoiled and loved. Thanks so much girls.
They also did cleaning with me - fridge and cupboards were being tackled.
One afternoon, we took the nieces and nephews for a walk to the fish ponds.
Us three again - picture taken by Rachel.
Having our last supper together the night before they left.... it was hard to say goodbye, that's for sure. But it was a perfect amount of time, and now with mom coming in a few weeks, and this baby coming too, so much continues to happen in all our lives. God is so good. Love you girls...
