Day 126 {Book Tent}

The joys of quick tents and library books. I had promised them we'd make a tent, and I'd read to them. I purposely changed the tent entrance location, so that it would face the window. :)
Reading together.
Love the hands on their cheeks.

Day 125 {After Nap}

Waking up from her nap. (SOOC)

Just a Wednesday

We went for a trip to the library - so they were allowed to watch a borrowed movie - Curious George. :) Even Laura was enjoying it for a couple minutes.
Working in our backyard. James is smashing the concrete path that the previous owner had thought would last for 5 generations. That small pathway was re-barred, and cemented to last for decades.
But, it has to go, and James was up for the task.

Pretty petunias from a friend.

Day 125 {Old Enough}

Laura's old enough to play with the dollhouse.
And Katy shares pretty willingly with her. (no so with Erik all the time)
Little Heartstopper.

Day 124 {Chipped Toes}

Chipped, cute, and red.
What happens when you do a quick-in-the-car-nail-job. :)

Day 123 {Sleepytime}

Cozy, warm and full.
Remembering that I didn't take any pictures that day,
I quickly snapped a few of Laura after I fed her for the night.

Day 122 {My Alive Katy}

Three years old.
So little. So big.
She amazes me with what she thinks of.
She loves being beautiful, (which is usually "accomplished in her eyes", with a  bit of lip gloss") - with me telling her, that she just is beautiful - especially when she smiles.
I called her name, she saw the camera, and posed for a second before running off again.
This picture reminds me of myself.. always moving when I was young.
You can see how her hair is starting to fill out, yet still so scraggley at times. :)
But, she is growing up so lovely.

Sunday Night Visit

We were delighted that David and Jordan from B.C. were able to stop in on their way to visit their grandparents. We were able to meet their latest - Andrew - such a big boy. Laura and Andrew are two months a part, and Andrew is probably the same as Laura, if not passed her in weight.
Always great to catch up with Jordan. She's such a beautiful mom.
On their way! Thanks guys for stopping in!
The little ones enjoyed the sunshine before we went for a walk.
Kicking a football with neighbor Correl.

Day 121 {Pearls & Gloves}

A Saturday of Dirt & Songs

It was the outdoor chapel cleanup on Saturday. Fun visiting and working in the lovely sunshine.
 Erik loved playing in the dirt. Such a cutie.
Story of his shirt: I bought it at a thrift store, and when I gave it to him, his eyes got big, was so excited in his face, took it, put it on the ground and just stared at it - so thrilled - then it was "tractor"!! That boy.
Katelyn helping Mrs. Doris water the rose of Sharons.
Caleb having a blast mowing the lawn.
Karen and Shantel working together.
Shantel's pretty arm. :) Pearls and gloves. Our very own Donna Reed. :)
Wayne and Shayne working on cleaning the Bethel Park sign.
Some of the men planting the rose of Sharons.
The brickworking family - Wes, Bre and little Peyton.
Marissa and Laura - thankful for the willing hands to help love and care for some of the younger ones.
Then it was off to sing at a banquet that evening in Hamilton.
Celebrating 100 years of the WEC (Worldwide Evangelism for Christ), they had a delicious dinner, with music - us Heikoops-, speaker, and some history of the misison. WEC was started by C.T. Studd, and is run with a lot of prayer, as they send different missionaries out -focusing more on the more remote areas The Heikoop family was involved many years ago, at their prayer meetings - but this was my first experience with WEC.
It was such a powerful night - what the speaker shared with us was amazing - testimonies of the power of God, both here in Canada and overseas - and the incredible importance of prayer.
Singing - thankful for how well it went.
Then back home to pick up the children, and to bed.

Random Friday

Just a few shots from Friday...
Laura enjoying her jolly jumper.

Uncle Tim came over for supper - a self-shot of him and Laura.

Day 120 {Growing Girl}

My sweet niece growing up so quickly.
At the verge of walking... :)

Day 119 {Morning Bike Ride}

By the time I was out of bed, and James was leaving for work, the kids had eaten breakfast, and James got them outside to ride the bikes, in their pajamas.
Erik is giving up the tricycle it would seem. :)

Day 118 {Runners and Braid}

On the day before - when it was one of those super hard "mommy" days, a sweet friend, rescued me.
She took the two sweethearts for a couple hours, so I can quickly catch up on my piles of work.
And she took them shopping - getting them both these cute runners, socks and headbands for Katie. (and potted flowers for me)
I felt so blessed, so undeserving, and so grateful to God for giving me friends that pick me up, when I fall down, help me with perspective so I can keep on...
"Something different", is what she wants with her hair. :)
So, I'm trying. :)

Day 117 {Asleep in a Cradle}

During naptime, I went into Katy's room, but she wasn't there. Strange.
Checked another room, but she wasn't there either.
Even though, you know she has got to be around, close by, I got worried.
And then. I found her.
Sleeping in the nursery - on her doll cradle she brought with her.
Amazing how she slept in it for so long, before stretching out on the floor.

Day 116 {Blank}

Day 115 {Mom's Birthday}

Mom's birthday at "The Egg and I" Diner.
We had planned to be all together for supper that evening, but that morning it was switched to a breakfast out. Amazingly, most of the family made it, and we had a lovely breakfast.
The birthday woman and Dad.
Katie and Uncle Rob
Mark and Nel - sooo glad she's home for the summer!
Brad and Di.
Since I was taking the pictures, someone had to pose with James. :)
Sweetheart.
Doesn't he make you smile?
Sweet Elita.
