Lollipops in the Field

We did this 20 minute little shoot on our way to a friend's grade 8 graduation - surprising the kid's with a special treat - in some remote field.
 Bringing out the surprise...
 Excited.

And all was quiet as they licked, licked, licked.

 Comparing the lollipops.

I love our crazy life. :)
But honestly, yeah, some days are abit too crazy, and I might want a vacation, or just to run away. :) Cause I'm not good at this whole self-sacrifice thing, but God is chipping away at that.
I'm thankful for His patience, and his (James') patience.

The Jumping Storyboards

These two storyboards were also for my course. :) And yes, I finished it. :)
And I loved these!
We moved our mattress into our dining room, and James threw the kids onto the bed over and over again, to get all the shots for me. He is so supportive and encouraging with my photography - and does whatever to help me.
So thankful for him. And for these cute kids.

Father's Day

After James' quick breakfast in bed, we all dashed to Lewiston, NY for Henry and Heather's child dedication of the new nephews!
They were so cute and are adored by everyone.
We spent part of the afternoon with them all at their home, than back to our house for some rest and to celebrate the rest of the Father's Day.
Reading the card that Katie made.

Opening presents.
The amazing dad of all these children.
It's pretty awesome to parent alongside someone who is the same in values, who makes life so fun for the kids and for me. He keeps me sane, and keep me learning, growing and loving. :)

She turns 6

Our little girl is growing up!
She got breakfast in bed - which she was quite thrilled about.

The start of her birthday cake. (which I decorated the day before)
And her reaction when she saw the cake - absolutely thrilled! Even though I saw so many mistakes, all she was magic.

The finished princess cake.

The very simple birthday decor. :)
Then we headed out to our Sunday School Church Picnic.
Some cute painted faces.
Pointing out her caterpillar on her face - so seriously.
Erik breaking the water balloon pinata.
Shantel and Amy
One of the group games.
Elita with her candy
Diane and her girls.

Me and the birthday girl with her beloved cotton candy.
Love this shot of us two - taken by Diane.
Then we took Avia and Leah home with us for the evening.
Love Katy's dazed look. :)

They decorated frames for each of them to take home - and then they'll get that picture of the three of them later to put in. :)

Then the birthday supper, and cake time with the friends. (our neighbor girl came over for a bit too)
All grown up at 6.

Opening presents.
Total excitement.

With her gift haul - super blessed. :)
Love her zest for life, and how she puts her whole heart into stuff. She's an event planner, (which makes life interesting at times :) and eager learner.
Love this girl.
